Betje Wolff, whose epistolary novels and letters co-written with Aagje Deken captured enlightened ideals, guided readers through thoughtful depictions of friendship, virtue, and the trials of ordinary people in the late eighteenth century.
She spent her later years near Scheveningen and now rests at Ter Navolging Cemetery, leaving a legacy of literary companionship and civic sensitivity.
