Biography

Bob Coulson, born in 1887, patrolled the outfield in the major leagues with sure hands and a steady bat, bringing skill and enthusiasm to teams such as the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cincinnati Reds. He played at a time when the game valued grit as much as flair, and his teammates admired him for doing the little things that helped a club succeed.
