Biography
Bolesław Matulewicz was a young Polish man whose life was claimed during the Second World War. Born in 1923, he came of age during the Nazi occupation of Poland, a period marked by hardship, resistance, and tremendous loss of life.
Matulewicz's sacrifice and memory are preserved at Powązki Military Cemetery, where he was interred in 1944. His grave represents the tragic loss of an entire generation of young Poles during the war years.
