Biography

Boris Sidis (1867-1923) emerged as a psychologist whose restless curiosity drove him to study mental illness, suggestion, and the development of personality. He built clinics, published widely, and insisted that scientific rigor be matched with compassion for the vulnerable.

A champion of the rights of children and immigrants alike, he defended free thought even when it drew criticism and maintained that each mind deserves respectful attention. He rests at Harmony Grove Cemetery, leaving behind pupils who carry forward his humane approach.
