Biography
Brian Piccolo fought his way from a hardworking upbringing to the roster of the Chicago Bears, becoming a running back whose grit and good humor lifted teammates and fans alike. His friendship with teammate Gale Sayers became a symbol of brotherhood in sport, and his determination inspired a nation during a time of change.
After his courageous battle with illness ended, Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleums became his final resting place, where tributes still remind visitors of a young man whose heart matched the might of his play.
