Biography

Brodie McGhie Willcox was a successful businessperson who built a career in commerce during the nineteenth century. Born in 1784, he lived through the Industrial Revolution and the expansion of British commercial enterprise, establishing himself as a figure of business acumen and enterprise.

Willcox's career spanned nearly eight decades, allowing him to witness and participate in the transformation of British commerce and industry. He died in 1862 at the advanced age of seventy-eight and was buried in Highgate Cemetery, one of London's most distinguished burial grounds, reflecting his prominence in Victorian society.
