Biography
Bronson M. Cutting distinguished himself as a publisher and editorial voice for New Mexico, championing progressive causes and a free press in the early twentieth century. His work with newspapers and civic institutions helped steer his state toward thoughtful governance at a time of great economic and political change.
In the Senate he carried that same zeal for public service, advocating for aviation, infrastructure, and the rights of citizens as a forward-looking lawmaker. Cutting’s sudden passing in 1935 was mourned by many, who remember him at Green-Wood Cemetery for his spirited defense of liberty and innovation.
