Bruno Carranza

Biography

Bruno Carranza trained as a physician before entering public life and became one of Costa Rica’s early statesmen, briefly serving as head of state in 1870 during turbulent times.

He spent much of his later life advocating for liberal reforms and is now remembered at St. Joseph for his dedication to both medicine and civic duty.
