Biography
Bucky Harris (1896-1977), known as "the Boy Wonder," made his mark in major league baseball as a talented second baseman and manager, guiding the Washington Senators to the 1924 World Series title before going on to lead several other clubs over a long career.
He later served as a mentor to young players and remained a familiar face in the Hughestown area, where his calm leadership and love of the game left an imprint on generations of fans.
