Biography

Calvin Waller's steady intellect and deep sense of duty lifted him from the classrooms of a segregated neighborhood into the senior ranks of the United States Army, culminating in his promotion to lieutenant general.

He led soldiers through the challenges of Vietnam and later oversaw training and readiness programs at home, always insisting that every service member receive the support they needed, and his legacy is honored at Arlington National Cemetery.
