Biography
Camille du Gast, born in 1868, was a pioneering athlete and motorsports competitor whose daring on the track and in the water challenged the conventions of her time and inspired others to pursue physical excellence.
She also championed causes beyond sport, encouraging other women to find their own strength, and she is laid to rest at Père Lachaise Cemetery amid tributes to her courage.
