Biography

Captain Thomas Edward Creighton (1777–1803) was a military officer who served the British Crown during the height of colonial expansion in India. His career in the armed forces represented the martial backbone of British authority in the subcontinent during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

Creighton's death at age 26 marked the end of a promising military career. He was honored with burial in South Park Street Cemetery, where he rests among other soldiers and officers who gave their lives in service to the British Empire in India.
