Biography

Carel Hendrik Ver Huell was a distinguished Dutch military officer whose career encompassed some of the most significant military campaigns and political upheavals of his time. Born in 1764, he witnessed the transformation of European military institutions during the Napoleonic Wars and their aftermath.

Ver Huell's long military career extended well into the 19th century, culminating in his death in 1845 at an advanced age. He was honored with burial in Père Lachaise Cemetery, one of Paris's most prestigious burial grounds, a testament to his prominence and contributions to military affairs.
