Biography
Carl Isidor Cori trained as a physician in the great medical schools of the Austro-Hungarian empire and devoted his practice to the internal medicine clinic in Vienna, where he combined careful diagnosis with a calm humanism that comforted many patients.
He also mentored younger doctors, contributed to clinical writings, and believed that sound pedagogy and a compassionate bedside manner were the surest foundations for the healing professions.
