Carl Panzram

Biography

Carl Panzram (1891–1930) lived a life marked by violent choices and incarceration, ultimately ending with his execution at Leavenworth. While he gained notoriety for his crimes, his later writings offered a troubling but honest look into a tortured mind.

He is interred at the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks Cemetery, and visitors who read his memoirs are reminded of the human cost of despair and the imperative to pursue justice with compassion.
