Biography

Caroline Amalie of Augustenburg (1796–1881) was a Danish composer and member of the royal family who made significant contributions to musical life in Denmark during the nineteenth century. As a woman of noble birth with considerable musical talent, she composed works that reflected the Romantic sensibilities of her era and participated actively in the cultural circles of Copenhagen.
