Biography

Cavalry M. Young (1840–1909) carried the stories of a nineteenth-century upbringing into the vibrant community of Highland, where he was known for his steadfast demeanor and quiet support of civic life. His life spanned the Civil War and the rebuilding years that followed, and he remained a calming presence for the people who called Highland home.
