Biography

Cecil Dick, born in 1915, was a pioneering Cherokee artist whose paintings and murals preserved and celebrated the stories of his people with bold lines and luminous color.

His dedication to Cherokee culture inspired generations of Native American artists and continues to be felt in galleries and homes; he now rests at Tahlequah Cemetery.
