Biography
Célestin Jules Lebègue was a French sculptor whose artistic endeavors contributed to the sculptural traditions of nineteenth-century France. Born in 1815, he devoted himself to the creation of sculptural works that reflected the aesthetic sensibilities and cultural values of his time.
Lebègue's career as a sculptor extended throughout much of his adult life, during which he created works that demonstrated his artistic skill and vision.
