Dr. Chaim Hilfstein (1876–1950) practiced internal medicine with an emphasis on listening, treating each patient in Nahalat Yitzhak with patience and thorough care. He balanced clinical skill with compassion, often walking between homes to ensure those who could not travel still received attention.
