Chaim Nissim Abulafia

Biography
Born in 1775, Rabbi Chaim Nissim Abulafia answered the call to serve Jerusalem’s faithful with humility and steadfast devotion, guiding households and students through the rhythms of traditional life. His teaching and counsel helped anchor the community amid the challenges of the era, as he tended to both study and the needs of the city’s synagogues.
He passed in 1861 and was laid to rest on the hallowed slopes of the Mount of Olives Jewish Cemetery, where many generations have sought solace and continuity in faith.
