Biography

Charles A. Shibell gained a reputation for firm but fair law enforcement as sheriff in the Arizona Territory, working to bring order and a sense of justice to growing frontier communities.

He also championed responsible stewardship of public lands, carrying that sense of duty into his later years and leaving Evergreen Mortuary & Cemetery as the place where many remember his resolute leadership.
