Biography
Charles Andrew MacGillivary stormed the beaches of Normandy and, with unwavering resolve, led his platoon through intense combat to capture enemy positions, an effort that earned him the Medal of Honor and the gratitude of a grateful nation.
He carried the spirit of that bravery into civilian life, remaining a humble advocate for veterans and ensuring that the stories of sacrifice from that pivotal summer remained firmly lodged in our collective memory at Arlington National Cemetery.
