Biography

Charles Bouillaud was a French television actor who emerged during the formative years of television broadcasting in Europe. Born in 1904, he adapted his theatrical training to the demands of the new medium, becoming a recognizable presence in early French television productions and contributing to the development of television drama.

Bouillaud's career reflected the transition from stage to screen that characterized mid-20th-century entertainment. His work in television helped establish performance conventions for the emerging medium in France. He remained active in his craft until his death in 1965, leaving behind a legacy in the history of French broadcasting. He was interred at Cimetière parisien d'Ivry.
