Biography

Charles Dickinson was a gentleman and landowner of considerable standing in his community during the early nineteenth century. Born in 1780, he represented the planter class of his era, managing substantial estates and participating in the social and economic life of his region.

Though his life was cut short at the age of twenty-six, Dickinson left behind a record of genteel accomplishment and property stewardship. His interment at Nashville City Cemetery reflects his position among the notable citizens of his time.
