Charles Frederick Abbot

Biography

Charles Frederick Abbot came of age in 19th-century Baltimore and devoted his energies to thoughtful business stewardship and to the civic institutions that knit the city together.

He served as a generous trustee for schools and relief societies, encouraging investment in education and welcoming immigrants, and his grave rests today at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
