Charles Hawkins Hext

Biography

Charles Hawkins Hext (1851–1917) was a banker whose financial acumen and professional responsibilities placed him among the commercial leaders of his community. His work in banking reflected the growing importance of financial institutions in late nineteenth and early twentieth-century Britain.

Hext's career in finance spanned several decades of economic development. He was laid to rest at the Church of St Constantine in Constantine, where his memory is honored among those of his contemporaries.
