Charles Manners-Sutton

Biography

Charles Manners-Sutton was born in 1755 and devoted his life to the Anglican priesthood, serving the Church of England during a period of significant religious and social change. As a clergyman, he would have played an important role in the spiritual and moral life of his community, providing pastoral care and guidance to his parishioners.

Manners-Sutton lived for seventy-three years, witnessing the transformations of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. He was ultimately laid to rest at the Church of St Mary in Addington, where his memory is honored as a faithful servant of the Church and his community.
