Biography

Charles Pfizer emigrated from Germany and, with his partner Charles Erhart, launched a pharmaceutical lab in New York whose innovations soon touched hospitals and pharmacies across the city.

He guided the firm with care, investing in research and the well-being of his employees, and his enterprise has since evolved into a house that honors his insistence on quality, a legacy marked at Green-Wood Cemetery.
