Charles Pierson Augur (1849–1932) lived through the latter half of the nineteenth century and into the twentieth, witnessing tremendous change in American society and culture. He was a respected member of his community.
He was laid to rest at East Side Burying Ground, where his memory is preserved. His life remains part of the local heritage and history of those who knew him and his family.
