Biography

Charles Prideaux-Brune witnessed the sweeping changes of the nineteenth century, remaining a calm presence for family and friends as industry, reform, and empire reshaped the society around him.

He devoted himself to quiet stewardship, encouraging charity within his circles and preserving the kindness he valued, and his memory now rests among the peaceful groves of Kensal Green Cemetery.
