Biography
Charles Waldo Haskins helped shape the accounting profession at a time when businesses sought clear, honest guidance, co-founding the firm Haskins & Sells and serving as the inaugural president of the American Association of Public Accountants. His diligence and insistence on ethical practices offered a model for accountants across the nation.
Beyond his professional labors, he supported civic efforts in Chicago and believed that careful stewardship of financial matters served the common good; his legacy is preserved among the dignified stones of Roslyn Cemetery.
