Biography

General Sir Charles Woollcombe advanced through the Army, serving with distinction in the Sudan and South African campaigns before commanding Eastern Command and focusing on the training, welfare, and discipline of troops under his care.

In retirement he remained a thoughtful voice on military reforms and supported veterans' charities, now interred at Bexhill Cemetery.
