Biography
Charlie Geggus was among the talented athletes who gave shape to professional baseball in the 1880s, bringing steady pitching and sportsmanship to the National League clubs for whom he appeared.
After his playing days he remained a familiar figure in his community, encouraging young players and attending the games he had helped to popularize, and his family placed him at Holy Cross Cemetery to honor the lifelong ties he held with the national pastime.
