Biography

Charlie Gould was among the pioneers of professional baseball in Cincinnati, playing first base during the formative days of the Red Stockings and helping to showcase the sport to enthusiastic crowds.

He later turned his energies to business and civic clubs, supporting the young city that had embraced his athletic feats, and he joined the ranks of honored citizens laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery.
