Biography

Charlie McCartney was an Australian rules football player who competed during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. His involvement in the sport contributed to the development of Australian football in regional Victoria, particularly in the Colac area.

McCartney's sporting legacy and dedication to Australian rules football are remembered as part of the region's sporting heritage. He was laid to rest at Colac Cemetery following his death in 1949.
