Biography
Christian Moerlein arrived in Cincinnati from Bavaria in the mid-19th century and soon established what would become one of the city's most notable breweries, introducing Bavarian lager traditions to the growing Ohio River town.
He was proud of the men and women who worked beside him, and his generosity to civic causes reflected his deep gratitude for the community he adopted, a legacy that endures at Spring Grove Cemetery.
