Biography
Sir Christopher Cole, born in 1770, rose through the Royal Navy with courage and an ability to keep his cool under fire, traits that served him well both at sea and in Parliament. His colleagues learned to rely on his steady judgment, whether navigating fleet orders or discussing naval policy.
After distinguished campaigns in the Napoleonic wars, he lent his experience to the debates of the Commons and to the well-being of his parish, resting now in the care of St Andrew's Churchyard. His life remains a testimony to honor and duty.
