Clara Kalischer

Biography

Clara Kalischer (1838–1921) was a member of the Berlin Jewish community whose life encompassed much of the nineteenth century and extended into the twentieth. She lived through a period of significant social, cultural, and political change in German society and the Jewish community.

Kalischer's life reflected the experiences of her community during a transformative era. She was laid to rest in the Weißensee Cemetery, a significant burial ground for Berlin's Jewish population and a testament to her place within the community.
