Biography
Clarence L. Tinker, born in 1887, rose to become a U.S. Army Air Forces general and the first Native American to reach that rank. His pioneering leadership helped shape early Army aviation tactics, and he remained deeply committed to his tribe and to mentorship throughout his career.
