Biography
Claude Champion de Crespigny, 4th Baronet, came from a family long associated with public service, and he carried that tradition through a military career marked by personal courage and a gentlemanly sense of honour. In later years he remained engaged with regimental affairs and local charities, offering discreet support to causes he believed would endure beyond his lifetime; his memory is honoured at St. Andrew’s Churchyard in Hatfield Peverel.
