Clement Biddle

Biography

Clement Biddle (1740–1814) provided essential support to the Continental Army as a merchant and military officer, organizing supplies and quartering that enabled many campaigns to move forward.

At Christ Church, Philadelphia, he shared stories of those trials and reminded the community of the sacrifices made for freedom, helping to anchor civic memory in spiritual reflection.
