Clement du Mont Bonnell was born in 1766 and lived a long life spanning the founding of the United States and the decades of growth that followed. He was a man of faith and community, deeply connected to the religious and social institutions of his time.

Clement passed away in 1856 at an advanced age and was laid to rest at Bethlehem United Presbyterian Church. His ninety years of life encompassed a remarkable period of American history and development.
