Biography
Clifford Flower was a clerk who served his country during the First World War. Though his peacetime occupation was in clerical work, he answered the call to service during the conflict and made the ultimate sacrifice in 1917.
Flower is remembered at the Arras Memorial, where his name is inscribed among those who died in the Great War. His service, both in civilian capacity and in wartime, represents the broad contribution of the British people to the war effort.
