Constant André Say was a French industrialist of the nineteenth century who played a role in the economic development of his nation. Born in 1816 into an era of industrial expansion, he engaged in commercial and manufacturing enterprises that reflected the growing industrialization of France.

Say's career spanned the middle decades of the nineteenth century, a period of rapid technological and economic change. He was buried in Père Lachaise Cemetery, where he rests among other notable figures of French commerce and industry.
