Biography
Constantine Phipps, 1st Marquess of Normanby, was a distinguished British statesman and diplomat who served in numerous high offices throughout the 19th century. Born in 1797, he held positions including Governor-General of Jamaica, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, and Foreign Secretary, bringing considerable administrative acumen to each role.
Phipps was known for his diplomatic skills and political acumen during a transformative period in British history.
