Biography
Corinna Shattuck (1848–1910) devoted her life to missionary and humanitarian work, particularly in Turkey, where she taught, cared for orphans, and risked her safety to aid those caught in times of upheaval.
Her courage and compassion made her a symbol of international goodwill for Newton-area friends and supporters, and her grave in Newton Cemetery commemorates a woman who carried the heart of the local community overseas.
