Biography

Cornelis de Rooij (1914–1946) was a Dutch drafter whose technical skills contributed to his community during the early-to-mid 20th century. He lived through the Second World War and its aftermath, witnessing the Netherlands' struggle and eventual liberation.

De Rooij passed away in 1946, in the first year following the end of the war. He was interred at Amsterdam New Eastern Cemetery, remembered as a skilled craftsman who lived through one of history's most challenging periods.
