Biography
Count Eliasz Wodzicki, Starosta Krakowski (1730–1805) was a prominent Polish nobleman who held the prestigious position of Starosta of Kraków, one of the most important administrative offices in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. His tenure reflected the power and influence wielded by the great magnate families.
Wodzicki's long life encompassed the final decades of the Commonwealth and the early years of the partitions. He was laid to rest in the Mazaraki Chapel, a fitting resting place for a man of his rank and influence in Kraków's civic and social hierarchy.
