Biography
Cyril J. Mockridge brought lyrical sensibilities to numerous 20th Century Fox productions, composing scores that supported musicals, westerns, and dramas with elegant melodies that could be both jaunty and poignant.
Working alongside directors and songwriters, he scored films such as The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance and The Forever Amber, and he remained a dedicated contributor until his death in 1979, with his memory resting at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
